Thank you Santorini... for being charming and beautious. We are at the Dream Island Hotel- a very small, family owned hotel nestled along the water of Santorini. A brief description of the island- a cliff-sided island in the Greek isles with mostly white houses with blue roofs, quaint, quiet and delightful. The hotel is a great find for our dollar and we have loved just relaxing in comparison to our busy time in Athens.
The gyros are delicious, the sun is warm, the breeze is perfect and my husband is more than excited that he is allowed to rent a motorcyle here. Ok, it is hardly a motorcycle- it is really a scooter, but I will not emasucualte him more after his recent testicle injury! He and Murph rented scooters and checked out the island
flare as the ladies chatted poolside.
Tonight we are having dinner at a table overlooking the cliffside at sunset- Sphynx is the name. Check out the sunset above!!

Nothing like full transparency on the blog--I'm sure dave will appreciate this post as he ascends the corporate latter at Lily!
Get me some photos!
BTW, I'm surprised old man murph got up the courage to rent a scooter in Europe. 4 out of the 5 times I've almost died have come from scooters in Europe.
Also looking forward to the updates on the posts below. Keep the blogging going! Also, have the murphies do a guest post--it's pretty fun.
Sheesh, BK is pretty darn demanding here! Maybe he should just take over the blog entirely? Actually I think he's just acting bossy b/c he secretly is hurt that he couldn't be a guest blogger this time, so he has to go and order people around whilst mixing in some of his past travel stories. Ahem!
Everything sounds amazing although (pregnancy aside) I would have trouble deciding between the motorcycling and the lounging by the pool; what a place to be in if those are your two biggest choices of the day!
xoxo
Laurie
hey laurie--stop trying to steal my thunder here!
i am a little hurt. given my blogging talent, i'd be a natural fit here and probably spill some incredible cultural insight to the world.
i love this comment war that you two yahoos are having- please continue it for sure! bk got his shout out, maybe that will help.
don't worry, i understand that this is just laurie's way of expressing how much she misses me.
some do it with hugs, others do it with personal attacks via comments on friends' blogs. to each their own--who am i to judge?
